Summer Camps

Summer is a fun and busy time at King of Kings! From camps to community service programs, we offer many opportunities to keep you and your children engaged and involved the whole summer long.

Vacation Bible School

June 16-20, 2025

Age 4 (by 9/1/2025) – completed 4th grade

AM Session: 9:00 a.m.-12 noon

PM Session: 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Guide kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers and glistening glaciers. At True North VBS, kids will trek the tundra as they explore how Jesus is a faithful friend we can always trust. You can expect a week full of faith discoveries, memorable music, and epic adventures that help kids discover how to trust Jesus in a wild world!

Registration opens for King of Kings families at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 27, 2025. Community registration opens at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 3, 2025. Any community registrations received prior to that will be waitlisted until the community registration opens.

American Girls Camp

July 14-18, 2025

Completed 1st – 5th Grade

American Girls Camp celebrates the values and character which make strong, confident and healthy kids. Throughout the week, campers will explore the adventures of five different characters who embody the best qualities that we want our own kids to live into as they grow into their own personhood. They will discover what it takes to stand up for what they believe in, become independent thinkers who are willing to take the risk to do the right thing and to find strength in the face of challenging events that they will encounter in their own lives.

Serve Camp

August 4-8, 2025

Completed 5th-7th Grade

8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

$150, includes a t-shirt

Come out and do service with your friends! We’ll spend our time together serving our neighbors, playing and praying together. We will spend Monday through Thursday together in various service experiences and wrap up our week together with a trip to Valleyfair. Camp Wapo Registration

King of Kings is partnering with Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp for a sleep-away camp experience that includes Seeds Weekend and 4th-8th grade Youth Camp at Wapo.

Wapo One Day

Wapo One Day is a glimpse of what camp is without staying overnight. It is a great way to introduce camp and prepare kids for the overnight opportunities. Campers will play in the lake (weather permitting), eat a meal, play games, Bible study, make crafts and so much more. You are invited to join us for a day and have a blast in the safety, fun, faith and relationships that Camp Wapo has to offer. 

King of Kings is hoping to offer transportation depending on the number of participants for a nominal cost.

Middle School Milwaukee Mission Trip

June 22-27, 2025

Completed 6th-8th Grade

Join us as we head to Milwaukee and work to make a difference! We’ll partner with local service organizations to support their ongoing work, including city cleanups, aiding homeless shelters, and preparing meals for families. These groups are dedicated to serving Milwaukee year-round. Along with our service, we’ll learn about the city’s challenges and enjoy some of the fun experiences Milwaukee has to offer.

High School Montana Adventure

July 26th – Aug 2nd  

Completed 8th-12th Grade

Join us this summer to take a train trip halfway across the country and explore the Rocky Mountains! We’re going to take the Amtrak train to just outside Glacier National Park. During our week together, we’ll explore God’s creation through hiking, sailing, camping, white water rafting, zip lining and much more!

Fundraising Opportunities

King of Kings is committed to offering summer camp and mission trips to our families and providing opportunities to off-set costs.

All money raised from fundraising goes into student’s accounts. King of Kings will issue a payment to the organization. Families will not receive any fundraising money if their student does not attend camp/travel on the trip.

King of Kings is pleased this year to offer a $50 contribution to each student who is registering for Wapo Youth or Roots Youth Camps, the middle school urban immersion trip to Milwaukee, or the high school trip to Montana. Students must be members who are active in King of Kings programming. Please let either Paula or Michael know if you wish to decline the contribution.

  • Syrup Sales – Ongoing
    • All syrup sale profits are divided among high school students traveling on the high school summer trip. For more information, contact Michael Carmack.
  • Fat Tuesday Pancake Dinner – Tuesday, March 4
    • High School Summer Trip students & parents (On 3/2 ANY open slots will be available to 4th-12th grade parents, 6th-12 grade students for Wapo and Mission Trip participants.
    • High school students and parents will work in the kitchen preparing food and serving. Younger students will help outside the kitchen in various ways. Typically, students/parents earn $20/hour for their student’s account.
  • Gertens Spring Flower and Plant Card Sale
    • Sale Dates – February 17
    • Delivery Date – May 6
    • Open to all families going to Wapo (Seeds, Youth and Root Camps), Mission Trip and High School Trip. Students can earn 30% of all plant sales and 15% of plant cards. All profit goes directly to students selling.
  • Garage Sale
    • May 1-4 – Drop Off
    • May 5-7 – Set-up
    • May 7 – King of Kings Sale
    • May 8-9 – Sale
    • Clean-up
    • Open to all families going to Wapo (Seeds, Youth and Root Camps), Mission Trip and High School Trip. Parents can work for their student and 7th-12th grade students can work to raise money. Typically students/parents earn $20-$25 for their student’s account.
